What Does PTO Do?
PTO organizes events that bring students, parents, and school together. It handles the coordinating and orchestrating of the school movie nights, Fall Festival, Natalie's Elf Shelf Store, the talent show and more! It also organizes different ways to thank school staff and show them they are appreciated.
How Can You Help?
- volunteer for movie night concessions
- join our community fundraising team
- join our donation collection team
- volunteer to help at Fall Festival
- volunteer at Natalie's Elf Shelf Store
- volunteer to help at the talent show
- help donate items and food for Teacher Appreciation Week
- set up/break down at events
- be an event sponsor
- join the board
- bring your ideas to public meetings
- encourage your older kids to volunteer and earn community service hours
Meetings/Events
The Cape Hatteras Elementary PTO has lots in store for this school year! During the public meetings you will hear about what events are planned for that quarter and when/when help is needed. There is also time for public comments. These meetings are important to the school as they allow for communication between the parents and the school.
Save the date for the following events:
Sept. 17: PTO Public Meeting (rescheduled 9/24/24)
Oct. 25: Fall Festival 4:30-7:30
Oct. 28 - Nov. 8: Coastal Crunch Popcorn Fundraiser
Nov. 6: PTO Public Meeting 5:30 followed by Triple P parenting class 6-7:30 (childcare, food, and activities provided)
Feb. 5: PTO Public Meeting 6pm
Apr. 2: PTO Public Meeting 6pm
