Daily “dress up” themes:
Tuesday (Oct. 23) – “Life Is Your Journey, Travel Drug Free” - Pre-K,K, and 1 wear BLUE shirts , grades 2 and 3 wear White shirts , and grades 4 and 5 wear Red shirts. If students have an extra t-shirt of their color at home, please bring it in case a fellow student forgets. *****We will be taking a school photo that will get entered into a nationwide contest.*****
Wednesday (Oct. 24) – “My Future Is Drug Free” - Dress up in your career choice.
Thursday (Oct. 25) – “A Healthy Me Is Drug Free” - Wear sneakers and workout/sports clothes to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Friday (Oct. 26) – “Use Your Head-Don’t Use Drug” - Style your hair crazy and wear mismatched clothes.
Monday (Oct. 29 - “Our School Is Drug Free” – Wear red to show you are drug free and support Red Ribbon.
Tuesday (Oct. 30) - “Your Choices Are Your Dreams” - Wear your favorite 2 piece pajama outfit (Please leave slippers, pillows, blankets, and stuffed animals at home).
Wednesday (Oct. 31) - “My Character Counts” - Dress up as your favorite storybook/movie character (this is not a Halloween costume. Please do not send masks).
On Thursday, October 25, the students at Cape Hatteras Elementary will be guests at Cape Hatteras Secondary School for a free concert featuring Terrance Simien and the Zydeco Experience, a Grammy Award winning musical artist who is visiting Dare County Schools next week for six educational performances for students. You can check out Creole for Kidz performances on YouTube.
In addition to the free concert at CHSS, there will also be a FFHS performance on Oct 25 at 5:00 for DCS students and their families:
